I am happy to announce Iberia Restaurant has finally reopened. As you may know we relocated to Belmont (740 El Camino Real, one block north of Ralston Ave. same phone number 650-325-8981) starting at the end of last year and it has been an interesting, to say the least, seven plus months.

I know you will find our new location as warm and inviting as before and the same favorite tapas and paellas. And for those of you that may miss the little store, The Rock of Gibraltar, we are having the same delicious sandwiches at lunch time and as part of our office catering menu.

Setting the standard for Spanish food on the West Coast since 1984.

OUR HISTORY: Born in Seville and raised in Barcelona, Jose Luis Relinque moved to California at the age of twenty. By the age of thirty, the charismatic, self-taught young chef opened his first restaurant – the ground breaking and critically-acclaimed Spanish Restaurante Iberia in Portola Valley, near the heart of Silicon Valley.

After sixteen years in Portola Valley, Iberia moved to a new home in Menlo Park in late August 2000. The new restaurant featured a glorious patio shaded by an ancient oak, a cozy bar de tapas with a wood-burning fireplace, a colorful and romantic dining room, a wood-paneled banquet room with private patio, and the wine library.  The second-story glass-fronted wine library won the prestigious Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence;  the collection focused on Spanish and California red wines.

In the Spring of 2001 Iberia opened The Rock of Gibraltar Comestibles, a retail food store offering all of Iberias’s favorite dishes “to go”, as well as the largest resource for imported Spanish food products in Northern California.

We opened our current, Belmont, location in the summer of 2016.
